V-line Injection System
Electric Hybrid V-line Injection System
◆ 3 Stabilities of the V-LINE Systemy
 |
Stability of the resin in a molten state |
| |
Because the screw rotates at a fixed position, the resin supplied from the hopper always has a constant heating history, so the melted state of this resin is very stable. |

 |
Stability of metered resin density |
| |
In the IN-LINE system, the metered density of the resin is determined by the difference between the controlled back pressure and the force applied by the resin to push back the screw. For this reason the density is liable to change according to the state of the resin. In the V-LINE system on the other hand, a fixed plasticating screw pushes out the resin using a constant force. That resin pushes back the injection plunger. Thus, stable density metering can be performed since only mechanical force is used and the state of the resin does not affect the operation. |

Stability of the actual fill volume in the filling process |
| |
In the IN-LINE system, the amount of backflow resin from the check ring at the initial stage of injection cannot be controlled. Therefore, the fill volume of the filling process, which is completed by a position command, is not stable and supplementary filling is necessary in the pressure holding process. In the V-LINE system, which does not have a check ring, a constant fill volume is maintained from the initial injection, and the incidence of short shots in molding where the gate is sealed quickly, for which filling cannot be supplemented during pressure holding, is reduced. |
